Arding is a small rural locality on the New England Tablelands of New South Wales, situated within Uralla Shire approximately 366 kilometres north of Sydney and around 18 kilometres south-east of Uralla. Covering an area of about 55 square kilometres at altitude on the tablelands, the locality has a population of around 182 people and is characterised by cool-climate pastoral farming, grazing land, and rural acreage properties. The area falls within the broader New England region, known for its cooler temperatures, granite outcrops, and a distinctly southern European-influenced agricultural heritage.
