Dennes Point is a small coastal locality at the northernmost tip of Bruny Island in southern Tasmania, situated approximately 45 kilometres south-east of Hobart via the Kettering ferry. Covering only around 0.7 square kilometres, it recorded a 2021 Census population of 55 residents. The locality lies within the Kingborough Council area, at the northern end of North Bruny Island, looking across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel towards the Tasmanian mainland.
Bruny Island is one of Tasmania's most beloved destinations, famous for its extraordinary wildlife including little penguins, white wallabies, sea eagles, and dolphins, as well as the renowned Bruny Island Cheese and Get Shucked oyster farm. Dennes Point provides a peaceful coastal residential setting with spectacular views. The Adventure Bay general store provides basic supplies, and the Kettering ferry provides the island's connection to Hobart. A private vehicle is essential for getting around the island.
