About Dixvale
Dixvale is a small rural locality in the Shire of Manjimup in the South West region of Western Australia, situated in the Blackwood Valley on the traditional land of the Bibulman people of the Noongar nation. The locality covers approximately 21 square kilometres of mixed rural and bushland country, in the verdant hills south-east of Nannup — one of the South West's most charming small towns. The area lies within the region's important timber and agriculture belt, where jarrah and karri forests meet productive farming land.
The Shire of Manjimup encompasses some of the most productive and scenically beautiful country in Western Australia, including the Warren and Donnelly river valleys and Pemberton's famous karri forests. Nannup, the nearest town to Dixvale, is known for its heritage streetscapes, the annual Nannup Music Festival, and the Blackwood River that winds through the town. The broader Blackwood region offers a rural lifestyle with access to world-class hiking, mountain biking, and canoeing, while Bridgetown and Manjimup provide larger service centres within an hour's drive, and Perth is approximately 280 kilometres north via the South Western Highway.
Dixvale falls under postcode 6258 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Warren-Blackwood (South West) electorate.
