Ilbilbie is a rural locality in Queensland's Isaac Region, situated approximately 75 kilometres south of Mackay and 38 kilometres south-south-east of Sarina along the central Queensland coastline. Covering around 200 square kilometres of rural coastal country, the locality recorded a population of 385 residents in the 2021 Census. Administered by Isaac Regional Council, Ilbilbie forms part of the mid-Queensland coast between Mackay and Rockhampton, a region characterised by cane farming, grazing, and coastal access to the Coral Sea.
Ilbilbie's eastern fringe extends to the coastal township of Greenhill, offering access to the Coral Sea in an area popular with recreational fishers and campers. The surrounding landscape is a mix of sugar cane farms, grazing land, and coastal scrub typical of central Queensland.
