Beaudesert, approximately 20 kilometres to the east, is the main service centre for the Scenic Rim, providing a hospital, schools, supermarkets, and community facilities. The Scenic Rim is a popular lifestyle and tourism destination, known for its farm gates, rural retreats, and proximity to Lamington National Park. The Gold Coast is roughly 60 kilometres to the south-east. A private vehicle is essential.
