The locality has a primary school serving local families, while Kyabram — just 11 kilometres to the west — provides shopping, medical services, and further schooling options. The broader Goulburn Valley region is renowned for its fruit orchards, dairy farms, and irrigated pastures, making Lancaster an ideal base for those who value a rural lifestyle in one of Victoria's most productive farming landscapes.
