About Lithgow
Lithgow is a historic city in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, nestled in a mountain valley about 150 kilometres west of Sydney on the western edge of the Blue Mountains. With a population of around 4,956 in the suburb proper (and about 20,000 in the wider urban area), it serves as the administrative centre of the City of Lithgow. At an elevation of 918 metres, the city has a cool climate and is surrounded by seven valleys including Blue Mountains and Wollemi national parks.
