About Mittagong
Mittagong is a picturesque town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, situated at an elevation of 635 metres within the Wingecarribee Shire. With a population of around 6,100, it serves as the northern gateway to the Southern Highlands when travelling from Sydney, located approximately 125 kilometres to the south. The name is believed to derive from an Aboriginal word meaning "little mountain".
