Naroghid is a small rural locality in south-western Victoria, situated approximately 170 kilometres south-west of Melbourne within the Corangamite Shire. Covering around 21 square kilometres of farmland between Colac and Camperdown, the locality lies within the productive volcanic plains and Otway fringe agricultural region. With a 2021 Census population of 66 residents, Naroghid is a quiet pastoral community within one of Victoria's significant dairy farming districts.
The locality is surrounded by dairy and beef properties on the volcanic plains that characterise this part of south-western Victoria, with rich basaltic soils that support productive grazing. Colac, approximately 25 kilometres to the east, provides access to schools, supermarkets, and medical facilities, while Camperdown to the west offers additional services. The scenic Otways and the Great Ocean Road are within an hour's drive, giving Naroghid residents access to spectacular coastal and forest landscapes.
