Parraweena is a small rural locality in the Liverpool Plains region of New South Wales, situated approximately 350 kilometres north of Sydney near the town of Quirindi. The locality covers around 255 square kilometres of black soil plains and gentle hills, forming part of the highly productive Liverpool Plains agricultural district. With a 2021 Census population of approximately 61 residents, it represents the sparse farming settlement characteristic of this region.
Quirindi, approximately 20 kilometres to the south-east, provides the main services for the district including shops, a school, a small hospital, and a railway station on the Main North Line.
