Kingaroy, approximately 20 kilometres to the south-east, serves as the regional centre for the South Burnett and provides a hospital, schools, supermarkets, and a range of community services. The district is renowned for its peanut production, as well as emerging wine trails and sunflower farming. A private vehicle is essential as there is no public transport in Pimpimbudgee.
