Pyramul is a small rural locality in the Central West region of New South Wales, situated approximately 280 kilometres north-west of Sydney near the town of Mudgee. The locality covers around 165 square kilometres of mixed farming and grazing country and recorded a population of approximately 60 residents at the 2021 Census. The area lies in the Mudgee wine region's outer farming district, with productive grazing on Central Tablelands soils.
Mudgee, approximately 35 kilometres to the south, is the main service centre for the region and a celebrated wine, food, and heritage tourism destination offering comprehensive services including a hospital, schools, and an airport. The surrounding district produces premium wine grapes, wool, and beef cattle. A private vehicle is essential as no public transport serves Pyramul directly.
