Ravensbourne is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region on Queensland's Darling Downs, situated approximately 50 kilometres north of Toowoomba and 130 kilometres west of Brisbane. Covering an extensive 81.9 square kilometres of hinterland terrain, the locality had a population of 307 at the 2021 Census. The area is characterised by elevated, heavily timbered country on the Great Dividing Range, with a median household income of around $49,480.
Ravensbourne is perhaps best known for Ravensbourne National Park, which protects one of the best remaining examples of the subtropical rainforest that once covered much of the range, featuring towering trees, Piccabeen palm groves, trickling streams, and exceptional birdlife. Lake Cressbrook and the surrounding escarpment offer opportunities for bushwalking, birdwatching, and scenic viewing at Gus Beutel's Lookout. The nearby village of Hampton provides basic services and hosts the popular annual Hampton High Country Food and Art Festival.
