Royal George is a small rural locality in north-eastern Tasmania, situated approximately 90 kilometres north of Hobart near the town of Avoca in the Break O'Day district. The locality covers around 572 square kilometres of highland farming and bushland country and recorded a population of approximately 59 residents at the 2021 Census. The area is set in the elevated Midlands plateau, featuring open sheep and cattle grazing properties on the northern slopes of the Great Western Tiers.
