Teebar is a small rural locality in the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland, situated approximately 260 kilometres north of Brisbane near the town of Maryborough. The locality covers around 67 square kilometres and recorded a population of approximately 59 residents at the 2021 Census. The area lies in the timber and agricultural country of the Wide Bay hinterland, featuring mixed farming, beef cattle, and remnant Queensland native vegetation.
Maryborough, approximately 30 kilometres to the east, is a significant heritage city providing a hospital, schools, supermarkets, and Queensland Rail connections. Maryborough is famous as the birthplace of P.L. Travers, author of Mary Poppins, and for its well-preserved colonial architecture.
