Wilsons Plains is a small rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region of south-east Queensland, situated approximately 15 kilometres south-east of Ipswich and 55 kilometres south-west of Brisbane within the Scenic Rim Regional Council area. Covering around 11 square kilometres, the locality recorded a population of 62 at the 2021 Census. Warrill Creek forms the north-western boundary of the locality, and the Cunningham Highway passes close to the western edge, connecting to Ipswich and Brisbane.
The Scenic Rim encompasses some of south-east Queensland's most spectacular rural and mountain landscapes, stretching from the Scenic Rim ranges to the fertile Fassifern Valley.
