Yallaroi is a rural locality in the New England region of New South Wales, located within the Gwydir Shire on the NSW North West Plains approximately 160 kilometres north of Tamworth and 85 kilometres west of Inverell. The locality covers a vast area of around 456.6 square kilometres of flat to gently undulating broadacre farming country, with a 2021 census population of 66 residents. Yallaroi was historically the administrative seat of the former Yallaroi Shire, which was amalgamated into the Gwydir Shire in 2004. The area is characteristic of the North West Plains — open horizons, black soil plains, and extensive wheat and cotton farming that forms the backbone of the regional economy.

Yallaroi has a small village with a hall and basic facilities, though residents rely heavily on Warialda and Bingara (both within approximately 60-80 kilometres) and on Inverell for most services.
