Yelarbon is a small rural town and locality in south-central Queensland, situated on the Dumaresq River near the border with New South Wales, approximately 51 kilometres east of Goondiwindi within the Goondiwindi Region. With a population of 313 spread across an expansive 443 square kilometres, Yelarbon is one of the most sparsely settled localities in southern Queensland, defined by vast open agricultural land used for cropping and grazing. The locality sits approximately 323 kilometres west-south-west of Brisbane, placing it firmly in the state's productive western agricultural belt.
