Albion is a suburb in Melbourne's western suburbs, 14 km from the CBD within the City of Brimbank. With a population of around 4,334, it covers 2.5 sq km and is almost entirely surrounded by the suburb of Sunshine. Originally called Darlington from the 1860s, the area has a rich industrial heritage including the historic John Darling & Son flour mill. Albion has a diverse, multicultural community.
