Brooklyn is an industrial and residential suburb in Melbourne's western suburbs, located 10 kilometres from the CBD in the City of Brimbank. With a population of 1,979 at the 2021 census and a median age of 34, it covers 5.5 square kilometres at 28 metres elevation. The suburb has a strong industrial character with significant freight and logistics operations, but also contains pockets of residential housing, particularly along its eastern fringe near Yarraville.
