Brooks Bay is a very small coastal locality on the Tasman Peninsula in southern Tasmania, situated approximately 20 kilometres south-east of Nubeena within the Tasman Council area. Covering just 2.7 square kilometres, it is a compact coastal community on the shores of Storm Bay, with a 2021 Census population of approximately 51 residents. The locality sits within one of Tasmania's most scenic and historically significant regions, near the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site.
Nubeena and Port Arthur are the nearest service points and tourist centres on the Tasman Peninsula, offering shops, cafes, and community services, while Hobart is approximately 90 minutes to the north via the Arthur Highway. The Tasman Peninsula is renowned for its extraordinary sea cliffs, the Tasman National Park, cave systems, and the famous Three Capes Track. Brooks Bay offers a remote coastal lifestyle within one of Tasmania's most dramatically beautiful and historically rich corners.
