Dunk is a coastal locality in the Cassowary Coast Region of Far North Queensland, best known as the administrative locality encompassing Dunk Island — a lush tropical island known to the Warrgamay and Dyirbal peoples as Coonanglebah. Located approximately 4 kilometres off the coast near Mission Beach, the island covers around 10 square kilometres and is characterised by dense rainforest, pristine beaches, and remarkable biodiversity including cassowaries and reef species.
