Fairfield East is a residential suburb in Greater Western Sydney, located approximately 27 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD in the City of Fairfield local government area. With a population of 5,198 at the 2021 census, it is a densely settled and culturally diverse community with roots dating to its subdivision in the 1870s–1880s. Originally farmland belonging to the Orchardleigh and Mark Lodge estates, it was home to the Cabrogal clan of the Dharug people prior to European settlement. The suburb covers just under 2 square kilometres and sits at a low elevation of 12 metres.

Fairfield East is a multicultural suburb with a mix of residential homes, places of worship, and small neighbourhood retail along Tangerine Street, alongside a significant industrial precinct. The Hamilton Grove Estate, completed in 2003, brought over 170 modern family homes and won a NSW Urban Development Institute Award. The suburb is served by Fairfield railway station (northwestern edge) and Yennora railway station providing regular train services to the City Circle and beyond.
