About Globe Derby Park
Globe Derby Park is a small residential suburb of Adelaide, located approximately 15 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD within the City of Salisbury. Established in 1998 as a subdivision of the former suburb of Bolivar, it covers just 2.76 square kilometres and has a population of around 360 residents. The suburb takes its name from the Globe Derby Park harness racing venue, a well-known fixture on Adelaide's northern suburban sports scene.
The suburb is bounded by the Little Para River to the north and Dry Creek to the south, with both waterways forming part of a connected network of cycling and walking trails, including the Little Para Trail and the Dry Creek linear trail. The Whites Road Wetland, adjacent to the Little Para River, provides a natural green space for residents to enjoy. Port Wakefield Road, part of the National Highway network, runs through the area and offers direct access to Adelaide's CBD to the south and regional South Australia to the north.
Globe Derby Park falls under postcode 5110 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Taylor electorate.
