About Bullioh
Bullioh is a small rural locality in north-east Victoria, situated in the Towong Shire in the Upper Murray River region approximately 40 kilometres south of Corryong and 100 kilometres north-east of Bright. Covering around 97 square kilometres, the area recorded a population of 63 at the 2021 Census. The locality lies in the foothills of the Australian Alps, where cattle grazing on native pastures and forested ridges define the character of the high-country landscape.
The Upper Murray region is known for its spectacular alpine and sub-alpine scenery, with access to the Snowy Mountains ecosystem, native wildlife, and remote bushland reserves. The nearby Murray River corridor provides fishing and camping opportunities, while the historic township of Corryong — the gateway to the Man from Snowy River country — provides the nearest services. Bullioh offers a remote, nature-oriented lifestyle in one of Victoria's most scenic mountain pastoral districts.
Bullioh falls under postcode 3700 and is governed by the local council Council (LGA). For state elections, residents vote in the Benambra (Northern Victoria) electorate.
