Ellinjaa is a small rural locality on the Atherton Tablelands in Tropical North Queensland, situated within the Tablelands Regional Council area near Malanda and Millaa Millaa, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Cairns. The locality covers around 24.7 square kilometres of elevated farming and grazing country on the southern Tablelands, at altitudes that produce a cool, moist subtropical climate ideal for dairy farming and pastoralism. With a 2021 census population of 66 residents, Ellinjaa is a quiet agricultural locality where land use is almost entirely grazing on native vegetation and improved pastures. The area is best known beyond the district for Ellinjaa Falls, one of the waterfalls on the famous Millaa Millaa waterfall circuit.
