About Fairlight
Fairlight is a charming harbourside suburb on Sydney's Northern Beaches, located 13 kilometres north-east of the Sydney CBD within the Northern Beaches Council area. The suburb has a population of around 6,146 (2021 census) and sits between Balgowlah and Manly on both sides of Sydney Road. Named after Fairlight House built in 1853, the suburb has a predominantly Anglo-Australian demographic with English, Australian, and Irish heritage.
Fairlight offers a coastal village lifestyle with the popular Fairlight Beach and rock pool as highlights. The suburb is within walking distance of Manly Beach, the Corso shopping strip, and the Manly Ferry wharf.
